When Covid came to America, we had a fuck the world this is about me phase of the Trump presidency. Information about the pandemic that was insufficiently flattering to Trump was hidden, and lied about. Treatments and tests and protocols had to pass the test of Trump's ego.
Now we are 9 weeks into a war that never should have been started. It is the kind of war you lose by starting it. And he started it. Forty years of military thinking said don't do this, if you do you will lose because they will take the Strait of Hormuz and you will be unable to dislodge them from it. Hence, you will lose if you start this war.
And so here we are. There is no military solution to the strait. Iran has over 1 million uniformed troops and a half million reserves. They also have armed militias numbering over 300k. They live right there next to the strait. They are not leaving.
America has spent way too much ammo already. We have several ships out of commission. Our sailors are being poorly fed and are not getting their mail. Morale is not good. There is no plan. Conditions change daily.
And what is keeping this war going?
One man's ego. The entire world economy is being hollowed out. Oil reserves are being tapped all over the world to keep the price of oil stable. That is unsustainable. Helium, urea, fertilizer and other resources are running low and prices are going out of sight. Actual starvation is on the horizon for millions of people.
Trump cannot admit failure. But he needs to.
This is the dumbest war in recorded history.
It threatens everyone and it will only end when one lying little man's soaring vanity is satisfied.
And fuck Benjamin Netanyahu for all time.
